Tokyo jungle, this game does not have the best graphics and also the controls aren’t the best.  They’re not fluid.  I would say this game pretty much sucks but it’s concept completely saves it. You’re in Tokyo, an abandoned Tokyo, with no people and you play as an animal either a carnivore or herbivore and your job are to survive. Sounds simple, the concept is simple but surviving for animals in the wild just like in real life is hard.

This game feels like the unofficial sequel to EVO search for Eden for the super Nintendo, but it’s little bit different.  In this game you can play as different animals, but you don’t involve you just survive.

It’s no surprise that games from Japan because it is weird beyond belief but it’s weird in all the right ways.  I mean this is a great concept.  I can’t believe more games don’t follow this concept of surviving as an animal in the wild.  This concept is just so much fun.  It should be a subgenre of its own, and there are all types of animals in this game.  I mean, really anything you can think of dogs, lions, crocodiles, tigers, hyenas even chickens as you continue to play through the game progressed and finish the missions you will unlock new and cool animals to play.

It might sound a little weird; I mean what do you mean like dogs, chickens versus lions?  That doesn’t seem fair.  Well it kind of balances out because some of the smaller animals, they can have big impacts. The small animals in this game theory can defeat a bigger animal like a lion when they gang up on him. Controlling a group of animals is more like having extra lives than anything.

A Dark soul prepared to die edition is a PC port of the console game. This port is features some new content sprinkle like new enemies and new equipment so is that worth buying the game?  Categorically no, the PC version is an inferior version of the console versions.  The frame rate is capped at 30 but it often times goes lower than that if you running the game and anything below a spectacular PC.

I really don’t think there’s enough new content in the game especially because all the content in PC version will be released as DLC sometime around October to the consoles.

Dark soul is a very hard game and this edition is no difference.  There is a lot of trial and error. You will be re trying the same thing over and over and you’re going to make a lot of errors. A lot of part of the game interestingly not that bad because the reality is that you feel like you can take the enemy all out.

Everyone knows Dark soul is hard, this is nothing new but the PC version of domicile is made harder because of the awful controls, the keyboard and mouse are hard to control.  The game is almost unplayable when you combine how hard the actual game is and how hard to move around.

Not saying all that the PC version still have textural and frame rate issues especially if you’re running it on a computer that is not the best of the best.  So, this game is not good enough.  If you want to play Dark souls, play on the consoles and you really have to try out this new game.

Orcs Must Die 2 is a tower defense game but it’s a really unique one, because instead a kind of top down view most tower defense games have, Orcs Must Die 2 throws you into the action as you play in third person perspective actually controlling your character, using character to play the traps around battlefield, and of course any enemies that get through the traps you can use a melee combat to take them out.  So it gives you the extra ability to actually fight the enemies running around like you would in any other action adventure game.

Orcs Must Die 2  is of course a sequel of Orcs Must Die 1, it is a innovative game in its own right.  It had a lot of stuff to the formula but it doesn’t really change much of the game.  For example you have new character to play as, you have more weapons and traps to set up, I think something around like twice as many even more.

But the core graphics and the core game play is more or less the same.  There’s just a lot more game play and of course without the addition of so many new traps.  There’s just a lot more strategy.  In this game is all about strategy like any other tower defense game by strategically placing the right kind of traps for your individual place style.  Your goal is to kill as many enemies running through the core door as possible.

One of the problems with game like this is there’s always the best strategy.  It’s not one of those games where the strategy is always rely on your personal place style, so it’s all about what you prefer and you do better with what you prefer.  Sometimes there are some traps combinations that you don’t like, there is a place that you don’t enjoy but it is the best strategy at the time and you have to use it. Another problem with this game is a lot of time the difficulty is all over the place

Knights of the round for Super Nintendo is in the top five best new game of all time.  Granted it’s number five but just in the company of giants like streets of rage 2, it’s a good accomplishment. The game is fantastic and implements a lot of really unique mechanics into the beat’em up console formula.

Unfortunately it’s not really genuine game; it’s basically just part from an arcade. A knight of the round is one of the very few old-school retro games that actually implement a blocking system. Also the game has all really cool leveling mechanics, which is very RPG-ish. Everything else in bitten up is basically generic. You your jump, you have your head and you have your super power attack that also eats up your own life.  You have three characters to choose from obviously of King Arthur, who was basically though most well rounded and he is in comparisons basically the best because he’s good at everything.  Then we have a Lancelot, who is really fast but kind of lacking in the power department.

So even the character options are very generic for beat’em up, the official game play sees our heroes fighting in medieval settings all around Camelot then you neighboring countryside.  The game play is really smooth and it’s really satisfying to beat up the enemies and even smash obstacles that arrived in your way.

I did mention this game has a leveling of mechanic and look at a little bit into that.  The leveling of mechanic is automatic.  That is to say you fight to gain experience and your character automatically level up and as the character levels up, he gets better and better weapons and armor.  So in essence the actual leveling of mechanic is on pure auto mode but still really cool to have that in there.

Malicious is a really unique hack and slash action adventure title.  It was really fun and long epic battles that accompanied by even more epic music, which makes entire really violent game play experience more fun. The game levels are really pastoral and beautiful cityscapes that are on the other end of that coin completely ravaged by nonstop violence and war.

I would say if we can equate to anything it would be retro mega Man games, but even that kind would be fair because as each level starts off, you don’t just run through enemies and then it gets progressively harder and harder until you finally get to the end boss.  You start the game fighting all the enemies and the boss basically at the same time most the time where the game is like mega Man is after you defeat each individual boss in each individual level you get that bosses special power.  So just like mega Man, you really have to think about which level you going to play first and which level you going to play next because just like mega Man,  a lot of the other specials you get are very good again some bosses and bad against others.  So you really have to plan out which level you’re going to play first and second and third and so on.

Now in terms of difficulty curves in the levels that is all dependent on how you play.  So if you say pick a one random level first, that’s going to be the easiest level and then as you keep picking levels, the enemies are getting harder and harder in them.  So no one game play experience is going to be the same.  Possibly the only nonconformist thing in this game is the type of attack you have.  It’s very cookie-cutter in that aspect.  For example, you have your special powers then you have your shield and you have your different items. The sheer number of different abilities you gain from killing bosses is almost overwhelming.  So there is just many different ways to kill the enemies and it all depends on your preferred play style.

Quantum conundrum or portal three is a lot like a portal game.  You are running from room to room with the voice telling you what to do and you solve various puzzles in each individual room.

The graphics are also very similar to portal game but they’re also a lot more variety in the same time gothic. The levels aren’t very imaginative, at least not as imaginative as portal two, which was just an immersive world.

You can also reverse gravity and slow down time and use these mechanics to basically progress through the various puzzles and it’s really fun to do.  The game never really takes itself too seriously so you don’t like a lot is on the line, but you still want to see what happens next.

It is frustrating game play but ultimately the game play is fun.  If you’re stuck somewhere in portal 1 and portal 2 you need a break but want to play puzzle games, this is a great game to play.

Jokingly said earlier in this review for this game is alternative title is portal 3.  It’s one of the reasons these two games are so similar, not in terms of obviously the feel and the graphics, just in terms of the whole puzzle game play elements. This is a good game but don’t make the mistake of thinking this is in any way better than portal 1 or portal 2.  Maybe its kind on the same level as portal 1, but I mean portal 2 is one of the best games ever made. This game does not even come close to that but it’s still fun game play.
