Dead To Rights: Retribution

Dead To RightsAfter two episodes more or less successful, especially on Playstation 2 and Xbox, Dead to Rights series, this action games returns to the limelight with Retribution. Developed by Volatile Games, this new album marks the return of Jack Slate, a cop with unorthodox methods, and Shadow, a dog more obedient, always there to lend a hand to his master.

So, direction Grant City, a once-thriving town. Jack Slate, a good officer that he is trying to put some order into this, but did not count on the villains who inhabit the dark streets of Grant City. Divided into ten chapters, the history of Dead To Rights: Retribution takes us to explore different places, while allowing us to embody in turn Jack or Shadow.

Expert in encounter combat, sniper in his spare time, Jack is not in the lace to show the number of keystrokes allowing him to harm his enemies. Able to make a few strokes down his opponent at the time, it can also disarm, parry one of his attacks, use it as a shield or even throw a few meters away. Making all these chains or some perfect shots in the head also allows Jack to increase its tonnage of concentration. Slowing down time, this last used wisely, give him the opportunity to overcome several enemies quickly. Rushing into the crowd, more often than usual, Jack did not forget for many to take cover behind various elements of the sets specially placed for the occasion.

In turn, Shadow leans more finesse. King of the infiltration, he uses his abilities to dog discreetly approach its prey, but beware: woe betide anyone who crosses his path while! So, the sight more than improved, in addition to interaction problems with set pieces during the last cover or with the enemy when it comes to disarm. We can also add many blocks of stone, walls and other items behind which it is impossible to hide. That is so painful to see Jack take it all over their faces, simply because he does not respond to the finger and the eye.

The character animations are sometimes ridiculous, and even if shadow often acts as a real dog, the middle part of the latter closer to the lion than the husky. Sound side, our fellow travelers have chosen not to attempt the language of Moliere, though they took, even though, once again, do not expect miracles in the dialogues.

Here, no question of carrying all kinds of challenges or to run after some improvements, there is nothing to unlock or to harvest, with some police badges scattered here and there (5 per chapter), we push back on this Dead To Rights: Retribution. Do not rely on either the presence of a multiplayer mode that would allow us to enjoy, for example, complicity between Jack and Shadow or two players to take control of the two main characters. Not really difficult in the operating officer (Agent difficulty setting is the easiest and most difficult Commissioner), the title of Namco Bandai we have not held more than eight hours before our screen.

Conclusion

In trying too hard to do as all good action games or infiltration present or past (Gear Of War, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Splinter Cell, etc..) Dead To Rights: Retribution in oblivion the essential: copy c ‘ is good, but do not do it halfway. Starved of originality, full of imperfections either in gameplay or directing, as Namco Bandai will not mark the minds, sound may be lacking in those games just nags!

Super Street Fighter IV

The three main chapters of the saga have been several drafts, rebalancing between small and large innovations before realizing their full potential. There is no guarantee therefore that Super Street Fighter IV is the last of his line. Still, after many sessions inflamed, the finding is both clear and expected: that easily supplants its evolution model while retaining enough below the elbow for a third round.

Super Street Fighter IVThe greatest strength of Super Street Fighter IV is obviously his casting. Capcom dares to 10 in one batch, cash, never seen. But where the previous installment in the series often greeted their quota of new mugs, SSFIV be “happy” with two actors completely unprecedented: Juri and Hakan. Two figures are total opposites. Juri is the kind of character immediately appealing. From its first design, sexy, feline frankly inspired. By then his style is accessible, dramatic and terribly effective. No doubt this is a protagonist destination for newcomers. Monster Hunter Tri

Everything starts with the creation of his character. After some purely aesthetic choice, the player discovers the village Moga, recently damaged by an earthquake. The environments are pretty and colorful but small disappointment, the player is limited by invisible walls. The monsters look like dinosaurs and others are closer to the dragons. To know who he is dealing, the player can target a monster with his wiimote and enter data in a notebook in order to identify all the creatures in the game but the hunter does not have to be limited to this hunt. Indeed, he may recover resources to help improve the village, manage plantations and farms of insects or perform tasks assigned by the inhabitants. These missions are to fulfill targets and help the progression of the story. Too bad the police element is very small and uncomfortable to read at once.

If the idea of departure is appealing, it is unfortunately affected by numerous small defects that accumulate and which can irritate the game quickly. Fishing, mining, hunting, cooking, harvesting. So many things on the menu! And what remains in people’s minds is: the pitiful resistance of some materials needed to carry out these activities. Especially when we know that behind the title is hidden IO Interactive, the talented Danish studio responsible among other franchise Hitman. But more than two years after the splash caused by media Kane & Lynch, the famous duo a typical returns to the front of the stage in a series which promises to be very inspired and very different. Here are our first impressions.

New, directing the game changes, that first glimpse was the opportunity to discover the outlines of what looks like a title that is both ambitious and fascinating. Completed bank robberies in California and settling of scores in the nightclub. Our two heroes have decided to return to a more peaceful life by exiling as far as possible bloodshed. And we all know, love can change the life of a man … Falling under the spell of a young Asian, Lynch decided to compose him to join his beloved in his country of origin. He left and moved to Shanghai, China. But now, our friend cheveulux is soon overtaken by the past and is still found in the heart of a violent mess. If details of the storyline are still dark, we nevertheless know that history will take place over two days and two nights.

Dark Void – Gameplay

dark void gameplayIn development for several years, Dark Void seems finally ready to see daylight. After a comprehensive presentation on the margins of Captivate’09, developers Airtight Games have re moving to Paris for a final demonstration before its release scheduled for January.

“Dark Void could succeed at the game through gameplay both original and solid”

And if Virgil had taken care to transcribe all the information on the new project from Capcom on his trip to Monaco (second page), I’d settle for me to give you my impressions. Not out of laziness access, but rather to get to the essence in bringing you a second look at the famous Dark Void.

In other words only a few weeks of release, the developer Airtight Games begin seriously to feel the pressure mounting, especially since it is the first game to the studio based in San Francisco. New adventure, new heroes, Dark Void is therefore proposing a singular universe, between science fiction and steampunk. From a strictly personal view, I’m not a big fan of that world both dark and faded, even if we admit that on an artistic level, Dark Void has a real leg aesthetic narrow by numerous references to the world that inspired it (Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, etc .
